** SOLD **
"Molly" has been shown Hunt Seat, Western, Showmanship and Equitation. Placed under all 5 judges at the 2001 APHA World Championships in Fort Worth, Texas in the Novice Hunter Under Saddle Preliminaries after only 10 months under saddle.
Own daughter of APHA stallion "Hot Cabin Jack" (Surperior Western Pleasure) - Hot Scotch Man and Red Sonny Dee also on papers. Molly has one blue eye, belly white and a mostly bald face, She is double registered in the American Paint Horse Association (APHA) and the Pinto Horse Registry (PtHA). She is also enrolled in the Breeders Trust program.
Shown lightly as a 3-and-4-yr-old (mostly Hunt Seat), but has been sidelined from the show ring since 2002 due to owner's leg injury and surgeries. Was pulled out of the pasture (literally) and shown in September 2007 (photos above) - performed like she'd been there all along!
Molly is easy to keep in shape and is happiest when she's in training and being worked regularly. Has not been ridden much in the past several years, but would not be hard to get her back in shape! Has a very soft mouth (we showed her in a plain snaffle) and a consistent stride in the show ring. Has been trail ridden - she has no problems with crossing water, traffic or noise. Owner injury and focus change has forced sale of all horses just sitting around doing nothing - she deserves to be in a show home! Would make a great Novice Amateur or Amateur mount - she could easily be taught to do Western Riding, Hunter Hack or Trail as well. A great All-Around horse with tons of athletic ability and potential, and fresh mind that has been idle for years (not show ring sour!)!
(*Please Note: I have owned Molly since the beginning of her 2-yr-old year, and she has never jumped a single fence of any height at all - she has done flat work only!)
Stands quiet for farrier, vet, worming, etc.and hauls great alone or with other horses. She is UTD on all shots, worming, farrier care and has a current negative Coggins test good through December 2008. Located in Western Pennsylvania just north of Pittsburgh - can deliver within a few hundred miles if necessary for $1.25 per mile (weather permitting)
Must sell soon, price reduced to just $2,000 to get her in a show home in time for the 2008 horse show season!
Not interested in trades at this time - sorry, no video available.
